With rail and road access to inland markets, the terminal will enable customers to reach all key parts of the Angolan economy and many adjacent economies through a single gateway. Over 60% of Angola’s city-based population is based in Luanda. Current Terminal Features
Terminal (Unicargas)
The Luanda Terminal, currently known as Unicargas Terminal successfully operates as a true multi-purpose terminal with an experienced and knowledgeable workforce. It is the largest handler of Ro-Ro cargoes in the port, and has the laydown and storage capacity to handle a substantial proportion of Luanda’s general cargo and containerised volumes.
The Terminal will shortly undergo a massive redevelopment in terms of infrastructure and new equipment which will allow it to grow container and Ro-Ro services to Luanda.

Expansion and Future Planning
AD Ports Group and its local partners will upgrade the terminal, enabling shipping lines to call with larger, more competitive vessels and achieve lower port dwell times. This will enhance the competitiveness of all key users of port services.
